‘Folded Space’ is the study by Carla Feijen on folding patterns based on sacred geometry.
She creates geometric patterns by manually folding regular pentagons, hexagons and octagons in a way that generates shapes with proportions similar to those found in natural forms. Ultimately, spatial structures are formed out of the flat sheet, just as happens in origami with square surfaces: only folding, no cutting or pasting.
